I love short stories, and Michele has done a wonderful job of writing in this book. I felt drawn into the main character of each story as if I were there. Each story left me with a closeness to the Lord as she has shown how God works in everyday lives in answering prayer. I liked the touch of romance in many of the stories. I recommend this book to anyone who would like a quick boost of love at one setting, love for God and love for others.
Although I usually don't read romance, I loved the stories contained in this collection. They were simple, easy to read tales of promise and hope. The author gives us something not too sappy, but just the right amount of "feel good." For Christians who like reading stories of how God works in our lives, this is a great read.
This was a very nice collection of love stories engaging the heart. It brought me back to a time of youth and innocent love. Michele Fleming made the stories a delightful read with the MC always having their hearts on the Lord. A couple of the stories focused on life threatening situations which pointed to the MC's faith in Jesus getting them through.
If you like Christian romance novels but don't like the time it takes to read them. These short stories will fit the bill.
I love short stories so I was immediately attracted to Michele Fleming’s collection in her book, “From the Heart.” If you’re looking for some light reading, this would be a good choice. As we all know, short stories can be very challenging for an author. He or she needs to get to an engaging ending within a few short pages without the story suffering in the process. I think Fleming handled this challenge well.
I absolutely LOVED the first story in the book, “A Long Distance Love.” I got a little teary-eyed reading it, but you’re going to have to read it for yourself to see what it’s about. I felt like I was right there in the story witnessing the whole thing. When a story draws me in like that, I’m hooked and can’t wait to read the next one.
I caught a few missing words in some of the stories, but they were minor occurrences and not enough to stop me from reading on. I would recommend this sweet little book to friends of all ages. The love the author has for her characters shines through.

From the Heart is a nice little book about commitment and trusting as depicted in the first story "A Long Distance Love". There is suspense, letting go, being set free, disagreement, forgiveness, embarrassment, God's presence, and answered prayer in various stories contained therein.
The author, Michele Fleming gives her readers a glimpse into the reality of unequal yoking (and the search for answers) as in the case of Sarah and Phil. This is one book that gives the reader hope; you see walls breaking down as abuse is exposed with openness. Burdens are laid down and salvation is picked up!How wonderful it is that Phil eventually accepted the Lord!
I loved Tami's story where Fleming brings to light one of the benefits of having a church family. "With no family to speak of, Tami relied solely on the support of her church family to see her through this trying time...They were her rock...her nursemaids on the days chemo attacked her very core."
My other favorite story was "To Friend or not to Friend", which I think many have struggled with. Katie deletes Tyler from her account only to discover that he is the link to where God is leading her to serve Him! Fleming writes, "God can work through anything...even social media!" And I totally agree!
If you like short stories then you will love this book!
