I'm a small business owner--not an accounting professional. I needed to learn QuickBooks so I could use the software to track my business finances and prepare my tax information for my accountant.
After spending time with the typical software tutorials and one of the leading books on using QB, I was lucky enough to find the book by QuickBooks Tutor. It is everything it says it is. Within a couple hours, I was well on my way to using the software, and it really was easy.
The reason is because this author, unlike the others, teaches a streamlined method that matches how I keep my books the cash basis. I don't use accrual and probably never will, but most people using QB probably don't know that you don't HAVE TO follow that longer, more complicated method.
This book has saved me countless hours, and I can't imagine using QB any other way.
The book explain how to start using QuickBooks in detail and help get started in a quick easy way even for non-accountant.
